Networks

As a multimodal company, TPF operate the networks for the conurbations of Fribourg and Bulle, a narrow-gauge and a standard-gauge railway network, a network of regional bus routes, as well as a funicular railway. TPF serve 127 municipalities out of a total 163 municipalities in the canton of Fribourg. In the neighbouring cantons, 16 municipalities in the Vaud region, five in the Bern region and three in the Neuchâtel region also benefit from the TPF service. The network consists of 66 routes covering a total area of 1303.6 km (1127.3 km of which are served by road and 176.3 km by rail). The network includes 699 stopping points.

TPF (Transports publics fribourgeois) provide their sponsors with a planning and design service in order to enable them to define an ideal level of service. This planning and design service, provided by transport engineers, consists of drawing up and managing the timetables for the TPF network in the medium and long term. In addition, it offers the best possible solutions for school transport and for events. Lastly, it also explores original solutions in order to meet the transport challenges of the future.
